Giving to St James'
Why Give?
We give to express our love to God and because we want to see His work provided for.
In the earliest days of the Church's life, in the 1st Century, Christians were suffering for trusting in Jesus, and yet they modeled for us what it means to give generously and joyfully so that more and more people could know the perfect love that comes from knowing God as our Heavenly Father.
2 Corinthians 8:2-4 “Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.”
